It seems 2016 has got off to a phenomenal start, judging by what we’ve seen and heard from our clients and prospects. Regular conversations with banks and other financial institutions show business is booming in Yorkshire and should continue to improve over the coming year.

With this in mind we are relaunching our popular New Business workshops and merging them with our Book-keeping Basics training. This means new businesses can come to us for a value-packed two-hour session that covers everything they need to know about starting up – the best structure to use, what to claim for, whether they should register for VAT and, of course, how to keep their financial records in order.

Last year saw a record number of new businesses turn to CCF for advice and support, and we’re delighted this trend is set to continue.

The first new-look New Business Basics session will take place from 10am until noon on Thursday, April 21 at our offices in Harrogate. Places are limited so booking is essential – just email events@ccfaccountancy.co.uk to reserve your seat.

CCF holds regular client events throughout the year in order to provide as much support and guidance in a variety of different business areas, not just those which focus on the numbers. More information on all these can be found on our events page.

Winners 'Best Small Company 2013'

The 15th February saw the launch of the Business Growth Club and it was a phenomenal success.

The purpose of the event is to bring together business owners and business service providers three times a year in a relaxed, non-sales orientated, networking environment to get valuable business advice. Later this year we will be launching smaller groups where attendees can sit around a table to focus on a particular area of business to discuss.

The majority of the attendees were business owners who are not regular ‘networkers’ and the feedback we had from them was reassuring, as they achieved exactly what we had been looking for when we set about creating this event:

Relaxed networking

Gaining valuable, free initial advice

Meeting with their peers and sharing experiences

In addition to that attendees enjoyed the atmosphere (and canapes) at Christians Café, Leeds Road.

Following the success of the launch night, we can confirm the next dates are:

17 May 2017 – 5pm Christians Café

21 June 2017 – 5pm CCF Offices – limited numbers for round table event

19 July 2017 – 5pm CCF Offices – limited numbers for round table event

20 September 2017 – 5pm Christians Café

Please see the Business Growth Club page for details of how to book the next event.

We look forward to seeing you there!
